Work Environment & Schedule:
The Bumbleroot vegetable team is a fun and hardworking group of farmers! This team is made up of 10+ farmers and works in tandem with our flower crew (5 additional farmers). You will work closely with Bumbleroot owners and managers on a daily basis. Some tasks will be done independently, but most time will be spent working in small and large teams to accomplish tasks.

Paid time off is earned at a rate of 1 hour per every 40 hours worked, and we offer paid holidays in addition to other farm benefits such as free food and flowers from the farm, discounts on local products, etc. Our team is tight knit and we love what we do! This work is fun and challenging and you are guaranteed to learn a lot and meet some amazing people in the process.
Bumbleroot is an inclusive workplace and an equal opportunity employer. We strive for a culture of connectedness and believe that we are able to grow and learn better as a diverse team. We currently cultivate 5-6 acres of certified organic vegetables and cut flowers. We use a combination of tractor-based practices as well as no-till methods and our entire operation is certified organic. All planting, weeding, harvesting, and processing is done by hand. In 2025 we employed 15 farmers - some year-round and some seasonal - these folks are the heart of our farm. We utilize 6 high tunnels and 6 caterpillar tunnels to extend our growing season.
We offer competitive wages & benefits for our employees. We offer paid time off, overtime pay, paid holidays during peak season, workers compensation insurance, vegetables and flowers from the farm, and employee discounts for products we buy in from other local farms and food producers. Year-round and returning employees are offered additional benefits.
Our mission is to connect people in our community with the land and the food that sustains us. We are focused on growing healthy food & flowers for our local community. Climate resilience and soil health are prioritized, and we are currently exploring how to incorporate no-till practices and perennial crops into the farm. We are committed to renewable energy, community-building, and equity. If this sounds like the type of place you’d like to work, send us an email! We’d love to hear from you.
