We work with Maine florists and floral designers across the state. Wholesale buyers can purchase from us directly (email flowers@bumblerootorganicfarm.com) or through the Maine Flower Collective. Wholesale Dahlia Tubers
The goal of our wholesale dahlia tuber program is to offer volume discounts for high quality tubers. Select varieties of our certified organic tubers are sold in lots of 20 at 50% off our retail prices. We want to make it easier for growers to access healthy tubers at reasonable prices! No account or login required.
Why, you ask? We’ve been disappointed by the quality of tubers we’ve received from distributors in the past, and have found it difficult to meet their minimums— we know how these factors can impact a growing season. We’ve also struggled to find affordable options for some the of the specialty varieties we’d like to produce. We aim to provide a middle ground that addresses the gap in the market between retail pricing and distributors who only sell in larger volumes with high minimum orders.
Maine Flower Collective
Bumbleroot is a member-owner of the Maine Flower Collective (MFC). The MFC launched in 2023 and is a cooperative of flower growers and florists seeking to streamline the availability of Maine-grown wholesale flowers in the state of Maine. The MFC aggregates flowers from flower farms across the state and delivers to wholesale floral buyers statewide from April through November. This collective effort is an exciting step towards making the floral industry more sustainable!
The MFC accepts florist and wholesale floral buyers can join on a rolling basis throughout the year. Find out more about the requirements for joining the Maine Flower Collective here. We hope you consider it!
Rooted Farmers
Our farm is a proud member of the Rooted Farmers network. We post our weekly availability on the Rooted Farmers platform, and our wholesale customers place their orders online for the following week. We list everything from single variety bunches to bulk buckets at wholesale rates, and we offer on-farm pick-up as well as delivery to the Portland/Westbrook/Biddeford areas. Payments are processed through the platform, which streamlines the invoicing and billing process for everyone.
On Rooted, designers have access to one-stop online shopping across multiple farms simultaneously. You are able to search for specific flowers, search by color, or search by design element. It is a super convenient and easy way to access the freshest local blooms that are in season here in Maine!
